The 2006 NonProductive YouTube™ Film Festival Rules
Thank you for your interest in submitting your film/project to the 2006 NonProductive Film Festival hosted on YouTube™.  This festival makes use of the internet phenomenon and ever popular YouTube™ video posting website, but claims no affiliation with YouTube™, its owners or managers.  Any questions can be addressed to festival@non-productive.com.

The NonProductive Film Festival was founded in 2006 as part of the Rising Stars Film Festival family of events.

Entry Fees
There is no entry fee for the 2006 NonProductive Film Festival.  You are free to submit as many films as you'd like!

Eligibility

Awards
The following is a partial list of awards available for placing contestants.

Multiple Entries
It is acceptable for any individual or group to submit multiple entries to the Film Festival.

Re-Entries
Applicants can re-submit any film entered into previous contests, so long as significant changes have been made to the project and all the other requirements of the Film Festival are met.

Selection
Contestants will be notified by private message via the YouTube™ service or via email.  It is the contestant's responsibility to keep all this information up to date.  Decisions of the staff of NonProductive are final.  There is no review for any decisions made.

If Your Work is Selected
You must provide the following:

Signing Up
  1. Register for the festival on the Non-Productive.com website by clicking here.  You'll have to submit to our Rules and Regulations by completing the form and following the instruction printed therein.  Be sure to use your correct email information and YouTube™ Username.  (If you don't already have a YouTube™ account, create one!)
  2. Go to http://www.youtube.com/group/NonProFilmFestival and click on "Join this Group".
  3. Wait for your invitation to join our official YouTube™ NonProductive Film Festival Group.  We'll try to send you a message to let you know you're in!
  4. Once you are a member, upload your film/video to our group.  Be sure to edit the tags for your film to include the word NonProductive exactly as it appears in the bold face type.
  5. Congratulations, you're signed up for the film festival!


The Official Rules Are Listed Below
Make sure you read through these rules carefully before sending your film to us.
1. Entrants hereby grant NonProductive and the festival coordinator a non-exclusive license to use the supplied film(s) ("the Films") or parts thereof for dissemination over the internet and via other media throughout the world for the full period of copyright.
2. NonProductive and the festival coordinator shall not be obliged to make use of any Films and shall not be liable for any loss of publicity or enhancement of reputation or otherwise.
3. Entrants must submit only their own original work and warrant that the grant of this license will not infringe the copyright or any other rights whatsoever of any third party.
4. The entrant(s) must be the sole author(s) of the Films and the individual sending the Films hereby warrants that they have obtained all necessary consents and permissions from all persons or entities contributing to the Films by their writing, composing, musical performance or otherwise and are authorized by any such persons or entities to make the Films.
5. The entrant(s) will indemnify and keep NonProductive and the festival coordinator indemnified from and against all and any claims, costs, damages, expenses, actions suffered or incurred by NonProductive and the festival coordinator arising out of any breach of the warranties hereby given.
6. Entrants permit NonProductive and the festival coordinator to edit or change the Films in any way that they may in its sole discretion consider necessary for the purposes of the festival's use.
7. NonProductive and the festival coordinator reserve the right to seek and issue publicity on behalf of the entrants.
8. Acceptance of these rules is a condition of entry of the Films, and receipt of Films amounts to acceptance of the rules.
9. Entries are made at an entrant's own expense and NonProductive and the festival coordinator shall not be liable to reimburse any expenses incurred in making an entry of the Films.
10. Entries must not contain defamatory or obscene material.
11. NonProductive and the festival coordinator cannot guarantee that every film will be shown. All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
