I wasn't really a fan of Superfriends... In fact it is exactly why I only read Marvel comics... I did like the theme music though. So I guess that's why I find Brave and Bold sorta watchable but not really. I did like that Static was in the one episode I was watching, I always liked Static. In any event, Aquaman got his swagger back when he cut his hand off in the Superman Series.

I like Robot Chicken, and I love Seth Green. The works seem hit or miss sometimes, but that seems to highlight the strength of having only 10 seconds to convey the joke.

Beasts of Burden seems to have tones of a short story by Nail Gaimen from Smoke and Mirrors. Always loved that story, now I will have to pick up a copy of that, too.

This was a wonderful article, and your best yet.

Oh, and my first comics were weathered hand-me-downs from my own cousin. May they both be Hulk-green with envy.

Clay Enos made a comment in an interview I did with him that I believe is the only piece of reassuring philosophy to come from anyone behind the production of this film. He said that he wished that the movie would serve as a "trailer" for the book. I like that idea, and find the concept of this landmark comic's conversion to film a little less scary because of it.

There needed to be more shoe throwing. If I saw Todd McFarlane I would throw a shoe at him for ever attempting to write. In fact I would throw a shoe at artist who ever started writing. The two do not mix well...

Yeah, I've been hearing whispers about this thing for weeks, glad we got a review of what it's about.

Now, I'm even more curious.

This sounds like a very good comic, but it would have to walk a very fine line with excellent story and not dive head first into the blood bath recipe. I definately will have to give this a try.

No, not in this particular panel. Though inevitably the conversation turned toward the movie, the panel's purpose was to promote Gibbons's and Enos's books.
